Transition Methodology
GECIS - IT Services is committed to providing high quality
services and products. We follow a robust DFSS (Design for
Six Sigma) methodology to transition client processes thereby
improving efficiency, enabling optimal use of resources and
cutting costs.
This methodology has been used effectively for 450 processes
worldwide. At GECIS - IT Services (India), it has been used
to transition 50+ services, which include client, deskside,
network, server and application services. The transition methodology
that we adopt is as follows:
Step 1:This phase focuses on planning, and involves
creating the project plan, knowledge transfer plan, project
team charter, technology/telecom plan and the like.
Step 2: It involves creating a communication plan
for internal and external stakeholders, and detailed AS-IS
process maps.
Step 3: It takes care of developing detailed to
be process maps, dash-boards/reports, process specific
Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Disaster Recovery
Plans (DRP) plans and the like.
Step 4: Service delivery is vigorously monitored for
performance in this phase, and DRP plans are validated and
checked.
At the end of each step, there is a formal sign-off from
the customer, which marks the satisfactory closure of activities.
The process is spearheaded by a project manager with sound
experience, and a thorough understanding of our values and
quality orientation.
