Abhimanyu
Acharya was educated at various schools abroad before taking his
Senior Cambridge at The Scindia School in Gwalior. He proceeded
then to pursue his under-graduate education at St.Stephens' College
in Delhi and took his Master's degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University,
New Delhi. He then took up a teaching assignment at St. George's
College Mussoorie as the Head of English and Drama. After a stint
with the Government of India at Singapore, he took up teaching
at his Alma Mater, The Scindia School, Gwalior.. After a very
satisfying stint at Gwalior, he left to head an Integrated Rural
Development Project near Bangalore where he stayed for 15 years.
However, he continued to speak at B-schools across the country
and conducted development workshops for various public and private
sector organisations.
In 1995 he
was appointed Principal designate of the I.T.C. Residential School
and remained till recently the Principal Academic Resource to
the ITC-Education Trust. He continues to hold workshops on communication,
stress management and personality development for various organisations.
He was also the Coordinator of WWF-India's activities in the four
Southern States where his expertise in ethology and wild animal
care were given full rein. He conducts regular camps and Outbound
Management Workshops for young persons and corporate houses.,
Abhimanyu Acharya also advises the Government of Andhra Pradesh
on International Education and is in the process of establishing
a School with International affiliations in Hyderabad.
He was closely
associated with the Chairman, Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd.,
after which he returned to Hyderabad. He is presently the Vice
President and Chief Knowledge Officer of C & K Management Ltd.,
where he looks after the creation of content for TheManageMentor.com
a vortal that caters to Indian working professionals worldwide.
He is also the Chief Editor, The Hindu Opportunities, a supplement
that accompanies The Hindu every Wednesday. He is also a prolific
writer, on HR-related subjects widely published both in India
and abroad.
