  1. What are the positions offered

    The positions are`indicated in the site. TCE has requirements for their Power ,Industrial/Chemical SBUs across all their locations. TCE is looking at talent with experience ranging from 3 years and above.Relevant experience in the domain and specific function will be an added advantage

  2. What kind of compensation can I expect?

  3. What kind of work culture can I expect?

    TCE has a well formulated on-going technical training program for skill & knowledge enhancement for engineering of projects. Software training is also an essential part of the training calendar.   9. What is the selection process for hiring at TCE Consulting Engineers?

    The recruitment process consists of two levels of interviews - Technical & HR rounds and a psychometric test.The shortlisted candidates for interview will be intimated in less than 2 weeks time and those of final interviewed candidates will be informed of the result within a week's time from the interview date.

  11. Where are the locations where the candidates will be located if hired by TCE?

    TCE has design offices in Mumbai , Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Jamshedpur, New Delhi. Project offices at Iran;Bhutan,Mauritius,Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur to name a few. The advertised postions are for the design office and project offices at Jamshedpur.

  12. How frequently will I have to travel?

    If project demands out station posting, then employee could be posted to any of the project offices in the country or abroad for periods ranging from 2-3 months to a year. At senior levels, travelling on business development & client meetings is a norm . In marketing & sales division, frequent travelling is required - about 8-10 days a month. While on project office posting, guest house facility is provided. While travelling on work, all travel and boarding expenses are borne by the company as per corporate policy

  13. What kind of Peer Group will I get to work with?

    Peer group will consist of engineers of all disciplines who have joined TCE from other design consultancies or who have joined TCE as trainees. Ages vary from 21 years at entry level to 50+ years at senior management.

  14. How big a team will I get to lead if I am in the level of Middle or Senior Management at TCE?

    At Middle management positions at TCE, while functioning as project managers for various projects, one will be able to lead a team as big as 50 members or as small as 3 members, depending on the size and nature of the project. At Senior Management Levels, while functioning as General Manager of a SBU, team size will be as large as 150-200 members.

  15. What kind of Project Work Exposure will I get at TCE?

    At TCE, there are five verticals (SBUs)- Industial/Chemical, Environmental, Nulcear Power, Conventional Power & Construction services. Each vertical engages in projects specific to the business unit like fertilizer, petrochemical, pharmacuetical, IT Parks etc for Industrial/Chemical Group; Water,Waste Water & Sewarage Treatment, Irrigation ,Roads projects in Environmental Group, Nuclear Power projects & Hydro Power projects for the Conventional Power Projects respectively. Construction services work across all these businesses.

  16. What are the various special projects that were designed by TCE in the recent past?

    A few of the unique projects designed by TCE include the revolving stage at NCPA, the Giant radio telescope at Narayangaon for TIFR, 3-D modelling of machine and plant components. TCE has also engineered most of the nuclear plants in India.

  17. What kind of Software skills one needs to know/get exposure to in the normal day to day working at TCE?

    Every engineering discipline has specific softwares which are proprietary software or commercial software. Some of the more common ones include STAAD Pro, ANSYS, CEASAR, CAE-PIPE, INTOOLS, MS-PROJECTS, PRIMAVERA etc.
