Rapigator 2.13
An advanced Napster client, Rapigator allows you to share and download any file-type, instead of just MP3s. Rapigator also multiplies your search results several times. You can also connect to servers that aren't official Napster servers, allowing you to get even more search results. It resumes broken downloads, and you can limit the speed of the files you are sending and receiving. Rapigator's chat system is based on the popular mIRC Internet Relay Chat program.

Gnucleus
An open-source project, Gnucleus expands on the Napster theme by providing a file-sharing network for all types of files. It's fast, easy to use, and consistently returns impressive results for nearly any type of search. Add as many folders (recursive or not) to the Gnucleus list of files you're willing to share. You can search for anything with any keyword -- no category selection is required. You can limit results by connection speed, and employ multi threading to get the best performance from high-speed modems. Other features include an MDI interface, system-tray support, and an interesting Search Spy that monitors all keywords sent through the system.

Audiogalaxy Satellite
Lets you share and transfer MP3s over the Internet using its linked servers. After you install the File Agent portion of the software, you register with the developer (which is free). Then, press the Search button on the File Agent to launch Audiogalaxy Satellite's site in your Web browser. All searching of files is conducted on the Website, and files are downloaded through the File Agent. It can take you several clicks to achieve a successful download. However, Audiogalaxy Satellite promises the ability to queue offline files so that songs are automatically received when they become available. Note: This is a beta version and could be buggy and/or unstable.

Spinfrenzy XchangeVersion
Gives you download access to tens of thousands of MP3s, video clips, pictures, and other media files that are available from other users' collections and systems. After you download and install this small file, it will download additional components from the Internet and open your Web browser to the Spinfrenzy Xchange main page. There, you can log in (it's free to sign up) and search for your music, video, and picture files to download. Also offers free Web pages and graphics, plus the ability to share your multimedia files with others through your Internet connection.

BearShareVersion
Lets you share any type of file with others on the Internet, as well as search for download files that other folks are sharing. Like other Gnutella-enabled programs, BearShare doesn't depend on a central server to allow you to search or download files. It gives you complete control over the number of hosts (if any) that can connect to your computer, whether or not they can download your shared files, and which files you want to share based on their location and file type. Only the files that you specify in your shared folder are visible to other BearShare users. If you don't allow uploads, your shared files won't be returned as search results to other users.
