Another slick looking site that show cases people who are with Bigstep and who are happy with it. The site's services are free; unless if you don't want "bigstep.com" as part of your web address or you require credit card-enabled services (against available only for US-based customers). The Test Drive lets you sample the entire process. A few store examples are also displayed, ranging from selling furniture to collecting money for a cancer cause.

It's solution is a complete application, from back end architecture and hardware to user interface. Features include Build Your Webstore, Set Money Options, Set Shipping Options, Customise Your Store and Open Your Store. The site also features a useful Go Back option at every stage, in case you change your mind. You can also add custom pages; another useful feature.

SmartClicks
This site boasts a network of over a million sites that trade advertising with each other. For every two banners of other members displayed on your site, one of your banners is displayed on another member's site. With its SmartTargeting feature, you can set your ads to appear where the response rates are good. Create your banners and also choose the location on the site you would like it to appear on. The site is not specially design-oriented and registration is simple.

Microsoft bCentral LinkExchange
Bcentral's free banner exchange programme, currently covers over 400,000 sites in 32 languages. Every two ads displayed on your site earn you a credit. This lets you display your banner on another member's site. You can avail of a facility to track your banner statistics by the hour, day, week and month. Its Surf Point Directory enables a search as all member sites are categorised. Signing up first requires acceptance of an agreement.

Hotoffice
Provides free online intranet services. At $13 a month per user (or $12 with 21 or more users), you can use the remote file sharing, group scheduling, bulletin boards, Web-based e-mail and company directory services. This eliminates the need to maintain a site yourself. A free version is available too with 40 MB of storage per account, irrespective of the number of users. You may select the free version of HotOffice when you sign up. The only baggage is advertisements, the inability to upload your company logo and lack of free CD backup.

This excellent mailing list enabler is available free. You can disable the ads for a fee. The service includes a chat room, 20-MB file library, individual and group event calendars, polling facility, audio talk room and database. It's unlikely that you'll find all these features in other mailing lists. eGroups also has a stock of various anti-spamming measures.
