| The Public Opinion Center (POC) is a department of Dubai
Police that conducts polls and surveys. The POC’s
clients today include Dubai Police and other government
departments. The Center has conducted complex surveys
to collect public opinion about different subjects and
has successfully brought about a positive change in the
operating environment with its recommendations. The Center
has drawn up plans to expand its activities deeper into
research and widen its client base to the private sector.. |

| The POC believes that collecting data by discrete
surveys & polls, analysing it, recommending
and implementing changes are important. However,
these efforts will fail, if these are not
backed by continued research and public /
employee education. This is possible only
if the general public is involved & engaged
and the center actively collaborates with
public and private agencies. A range of mechanisms
will be developed, as listed below to address
select concerns. |
