Program / Software Project Manager (Code PPM)

Job Duties

Provides technical insight and management leadership in developing leading-edge semiconductor wafer inspection equipment. Leads a multidisciplinary team, coordinating their development activities. Works in conjunction with marketing to define product requirements. Defines program schedules and deliverables; recognizes risks and gaps and outlines mitigation strategies; retains project specific records for documentation and archiving. Responsible for project execution, schedule and budget as well as overall product quality. Always looks to improve work products, functions, and processes through on-going analysis. Communicates and shares new information, lessons, and methods with cross-functional team members and upper management to achieve program goals.

Qualifications
Requires breadth of knowledge across several specialized disciplines. Exceptional communication skills are required for managing engineering activities in a matrixed environment. Creative risk taking and an intuitive knack for innovation are required personality traits. Candidates should be adept with Microsoft Project and critical path analysis. Semiconductor capital equipment industry experience and some wafer fab exposure is preferred.

Requires a Masters or PhD degree in Engineering or Physics and 5 years of project management experience in a related scientific discipline. .

For Program Managers, experience in design and development of complex optical / electronic systems is required.

For Software Project Managers, experience leading development of complex multithreaded software for scientific instrumentation / industrial equipment is highly preferred.
