Headhunter.net
and Ask Jeeves Form Online Strategic Partnership.
ATLANTA --(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 28, 2000--Which website would
you visit for the best selection of career opportunities on the
Internet? Ask
Jeeves, Inc. is betting on Atlanta-based online recruiting
site, Headhunter.net
(NASDAQ: HHNT).
Effective
immediately, Headhunter.net's extensive job search technology
will help power the "Jobs & Careers" section on
Ask Jeeves at Ask.com.
"As
an aggressive eRecruiting and job awareness network, it's critical
for Headhunter.net to partner with complimentary, consumer-heavy
sites that help increase brand recognition and ultimately drive
job seekers to companies that post jobs with us," said Judy
Hackett, SVP of Consumer Marketing and Communications for Headhunter.net.
"Additionally,
Ask Jeeves' extraordinary growth in the search category demonstrates
that natural language question answering is increasingly becoming
the preferred method for consumers. We plan to take advantage
of that growth."
The
integrated content will include job search capabilities, resume
posting and job candidate information to serve on Ask.com's reply
page for users, once they have asked job and career-related questions.
Additionally, interactive tools such as job finder pull down menus
will be displayed on the appropriate Jobs & Careers pages
allowing users to search for employment opportunities by geographic
location and/ or job type.
Ask
Jeeves will also participate in a Headhunter.net campaign
with promotional media. It is likely a sweepstakes component will
be implemented in the first quarter of next year as well.
