   Scholarships


The European Centre for Corporate Governance offers scholarships for candidates applying to Masters Suite of programmes in the Centre.

These awards will be made at the discretion of the Selection Committee to applicants who possess a strong academic and professional background and can demonstrate the potential to contribute to the programme. Those sponsored or receiving any other scholarship will not normally be eligible.

There are a number of scholarships available and these will only be awarded to exceptional students. If the Selection Committee identifies no suitable candidates, awards will not be made.

Applying for Scholarships
In addition to your application to join the Masters programme, eligible candidates are asked to produce an essay on the following question, in no more than 1,500 words:

How should young managers manage their careers in order to achieve international success?
The essay must be sent to Professor Steve Letza, Director of the European Centre for Corporate Governance and Professor of Corporate Governance.

Evaluation for Scholarships

  • You will be considered on your:
  • Scholarship essay
  • Academic ability
  • Personal qualities & work experience
  • Potential to become an ambassador for us after completing your Masters degree.

Your application will be reviewed by a pre-selection panel. The group will consist of faculty, programme representatives, alumni and corporate sponsors. Final selection will be made by members of the Masters Suite Board, and subject to interview in the normal practice of application for Masters programmes in the Centre.

Winners of the scholarship are expected to support the the work of The European Centre for Corporate Governance in your region on completion of the programme.

Eligibility
The value of the scholarships, deadlines for application and eligible categories depend on the mode of study. All application details and essays must be received by 30 September 2005, for entry in February 2006.

These scholarships will provide up to 50% of the tuition fees of the 2005/06.

It is recommended that you apply early for any European Centre for Corporate Governance Scholarships.
