Electronics and petrochemicals represent diverse products; one of high value requiring discrete manufacturing while the other requires bulk processing. Electronics move mostly by air while petrochemicals move by sea and pipeline transportation. |

Research in these two extremes would facilitate investigating other supply chain sectors. |
| As a first step, attention will be on the development of a series of white papers in these areas to document the available body of knowledge and also industry needs for future logistics research. | |
