Welcome to my homepage.  After having held joint appointments with Faculty of Business Administration and The Logistics Institute - Asia Pacific, I am now with  The Logistics Institute � Asia Pacific, National University of Singapore, since July 2001.  My teaching interests are Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Warehouse and Storage Management and courses like Statistics, Management Science/Operations Research etc. My current research interests are Supply Chain Management, Warehousing and Production Inventory Control.  The list of journals in which my papers have appeared include IIE Transactions, Journal of Applied Probability, Production & Operations Management, International Journal of Production Research, Operations Research Letters, Queueing Systems, Stochastic Analysis & Applications and Opsearch.

I hold a Ph. D.  (1987)  in the broad area of Stochastic Models in Queues, Inventories and Reliability from  Indian Institute of Technology, Madras,  one of prestigious institutions in India. In 1989, I moved to the Department of Management Studies, University of Madras to teach Operations Research, Mathematics and Statistics to the graduating M.B.A. students.  I was a Reader there when I left India for Singapore to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Operations Management which I received in 1998.
