Increasing  global  competition, customer requirements and the evolution of the Internet is dramatically and continually changing the way companies operate. These challenges are  forcing  companies to rethink the way they do business, the products and services they offer and the methods they use to bring these products to market.
Currently, new business solutions and opportunities are emerging under the umbrella of E-business  (transforming key business processes by using Internet technologies) and E-commerce  (the  process  of  buying  and  selling  on  the  web). Supply  chains  are increasingly  relying  on  electronic business integration and web-enabled collaboration. Companies  that  successfully implement web-enabled solutions will gain a competitive advantage  through  increased  supply  chain  efficiencies,  reduced  cycle  times  and improved customer service.
