The  National  University  of  Singapore (NUS)
was  inaugurated when the University of Singapore
and  the  Nanyang  University  merged to form one University  on  8  August  1980.   The  University's
roots  date  all  the  way  back to 1905 when King
Edward  VII  College of  Medicine was established.
The Georgia Institute of Technology (GT) began its
first  class  in  1888. Since then, GT has established a
tradition  of  excellence  in  technological research and
education.  It  is one of the world's premier technology-
oriented   universities,  boasting  a  superb   faculty  of
world-class  teachers,  researchers,  and  consultants.
The  Institute  is  well  known   for  its  high  academic
standards  and  stands  among  the  top  ranks  of US
research universities.
The Logistics Institute - Asia Pacific  is  a partnership between National University
of  Singapore  and  Georgia  Institute  of Technology for research and education in
global logistics and operations.
The  University  has  yearly  enrolment of about 19,000 undergraduates and 6,000 postgraduates. About  10%  of  the student are foreign students. The University is
located at Kent Ridge, is close proximity with the Singapore Science Parks where innovation and technology are thriving.
