Revenue management has been effectively utilized by passenger airlinres to maximize revenue and yields. To reap similar benefits, cargo carriers of all modes of transportation are hurriedly establishing their own revenue management systems. The purpose of this presentation is to introduce passenger airline revenue management and to highlight similarities and differences associated with cargo carriers. |

Professor
Bazaraa has extensive experience in the areas of transportation, supply
chain, logistics, and operations research. He recently joined The
Logistics Institute at Georgia Tech as Managing Director for Global
Logistics. Before that, Dr. Bazaraa served as Senior Vice President of
Cargo and logistics at Sabre, a large information technology company
focusing on travel and transportation. He also worked as Senior Vice
president at Burnham, a third party logistics company, and as Professor of
Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech. |
