High Definition Television

Software Drivers/API Team manager & Engineer Code: SWM & SWE

Responsibilities include definition, development, debugging and testing of software device drivers and APIs for various OS platforms for Broadcom's digital video chips.

Requirements: * BE/ME in computer Science/Electronics * For Team Managers, at least 12 years experience with proven in leading software development * For Engineers, at least 3 - 4 Years relevant experience * Knowledge of hardware architecture and systems programming are highly desirable.

Physical Design Manager Code: PDM
Responsibilities include creating a series of highly integrated, very high volume mixed signal devices in 0.18/0.13 micron CMOS processes.

Requirements: * ME with a minimum of 12 years industrial experience * Full chip design experience with Avant! / Cadence tools is a must * Proficiency is Synopsys Physical Compiler, Power Compiler, Sente Power tools and 3D-timing extraction is preferred * C and Perl programming skills are highly desirable.

VLSI Design Engineers Code: VDE
You will be involved in development, implementation, integration and validation of modules for MPEG-2/MPEG-4 wideo and audio codecs for a series of digital chips.

Requirements: * BE/ME in Electronics * Skills in RTL coding, test bench development, simulation verification, emulation, test-vector generation, synthesis & scan insertion * Knowledge of DSP, C, PLI and script programming will be an advantage.

Firmware Design Engineers Code : FDE
You will be responsible for implementation of MPEG-2/MPEG-4 video, audio, transport and speech algorithms in Broadcom's proprietary RISC/DSP processors using a combination of C and Assembly Languages.

Requirements:* BE/ME in Electronics with specialization in Digital Signal Processing * At least 2 years relevant experience * Knowledge of HDLs and script programming are highly desirable.

Technical Writer: Code:TW
Responsibilities: include writing of technical documentation and upkeep of intranet Web pages.

Requirements: * At least 2 years relevant experience in a product development software organization of repute * Excellent technical writing skills.

High Speed Networking

Systems Engineering Team Leaders & Engineers Code : SETL & SETE

Responsibilities include porting of protocol stacks and API on various OS platforms, generation of system validation plan (feature set and interoperability plan), verifying supported features of the Silicon in a true switch system, and performing industry standard benchmark tests for a family of highly integrated Fast/Gigabit Ethernet Advanced Layer 3 Switching Systems-on-a-Chip.

Requirements: * At least 8 years relevant experience for Team Leader; 3-5 years experience for Engineers * Experience in API development and porting * Knowledge of Switch and Router operations, test equipment such as Smartbits, IXIA, lab equipment * Good working knowledge of scripting and programming languages such as TCL and C.
