Enterprises Limited, a professionally managed private sector,
multi-venture company based in Mumbai, promoted by Mr. Subhash
Chandra. Mr. Chandra is well known as the promoter of the Essel
Group of Companies, that includes Zee Telefilms, Siticable, Essel

POSITION: Vice
President, Marketing and Sales. Executive Management position
in Mumbai, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, ASSL.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person will lead the Sales and Marketing function of the company's
satellite and bundled solutions. He / she will develop and implement
sales and marketing strategies for company products / services
and will be required to coordinate with the engineering department,
form alliances with service providers and proactively develop
applications to enhance the use of the satellite capacity.
QUALIFICATIONS AND
SKILLS REQUIRED: An MBA with specialisation in Marketing from
a premier institute. A degree in Engineering would be an advantage.
The person should have the ability to comprehend technical aspects
of the company's products and services. Good presentation and
interpersonal skills are necessary. He/she must have the ability
to interact with vendors and customers and should be familiar
with telecom and broadcasting market.
EXPERIENCE: 10
to 15 years in Telecommunications, Broadcasting, Satellite capacities
or network solutions marketing of which 3 years should be in a
senior management position.
POSITION: Vice
President, Space Segment & Engineering, Executive Management
position in Mumbai, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer,
ASSL. He / she will be supported by a team of Satellite System
and Engineering experts.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a senior level position with responsibilities for planning
(subsequent missions), implementing and operating the ASSL, Space-Segment
which will initially consist of a geo-stationary Satellite operating
in the C- and Ku- Bands. The person will have over all responsibilities
for managing the interface with the Satellite Vendor and Satellite
Control Ground System Services Contractors.
QUALIFICATIONS AND
SKILLS REQUIRED: Minimum B. Tech / B.E. (in a relevant engineering
discipline) from a reputed institute with a good academic record.
Masters degree would be an added advantage. The person should
have experience involving programme implementation of Spacecraft
systems, Launch Vehicles Interface and overall Mission. Specialisation
in the areas of Satellite Bus System, Quality Programs, Satellite
Assembly, Integration and Testing would be an added advantage.
He/she should be able to lead and manage a multicultural, multidisciplinary
team and should possesses strong communication and project management
skills.
EXPERIENCE:
10+ years relevant experience in Satellite industry, out of which
at least 5 years in senior management position/Programme Implementation.
POSITION: General
Manager/ Deputy General Manager(Solutions and Application.)
Position available in Mumbai, reporting to Vice President, Marketing
and Sales.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person will be responsible for identifying, developing and
supporting marketing of new applications and bundled solutions.
He/she will aid customers in implementing intra/inter office and
public networks, co-ordinate with the engineering team and form
alliances with equipment vendors to meet customer requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND
SKILLS REQUIRED: A Minimum B.Tech / B.E. from a premier institute
with a specialisation in Computer science / Telecommunications.
A Masters degree is preferred. He / she must have the ability
to develop, package and market bundled solutions and applications
to sophisticated customers.
EXPERIENCE: 6+
years experience in Telecommunication/IT companies, ASP, VSAT,
ISP, DTO / DTH TV systems/solutions with a proven track record.
POSITION: General
Manager/Deputy General Manager (Communication Satellite Payload)
in Mumbai reporting to Vice President, Space Segment & Engineering.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person will be responsible for conceptualising the payload
configuration (future missions), examining test procedures, analysing
test reports, characterising transponders, managing the conduct
of in-orbit tests and interfacing with Satellite Contractor and
Satellite Operations Services Contractor for accomplishing the
above tasks. Managing and monitoring the in-orbit operations of
the communications payload will be a prime responsibility, along
with planning and implementing transmission plans with the marketing
and sales team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND
SKILLS REQUIRED: Minimum BE(Electronics / Telecommunications)
from a premier institute with a good academic record. Masters
degree will be an added advantage. The person should have thorough
knowledge of contemporary Satellite communications payloads, design,
test and evaluation procedures, standards and equipment. Overall
system knowledge of Satellite communications applications will
be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE:
8+ years of relevant experience in the Satellite industry.
POSITION: General
Manager/ Deputy General Manager, Spacecraft Bus Systems in
Mumbai, reporting to the Vice President, Space Segment & Engineering.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person will be involved in planning, acquiring and successfully
deploying ASSL space assets and operating the same.
QUALIFICATIONS AND
SKILLS REQUIRED: Minimum B.E. (In a relevant engineering subject)
with a good academic record. The person should have specialists'
knowledge of Satellite Bus Systems such as AOCS, Thermal, Electrical
and Propulsion systems. The person needs to communicate and relate
to all levels within the organisation and outside.
EXPERIENCE: 8+
years of relevant experience in Satellite technology. Those with
experience in project implementation and trend analysis would
be preferred.
POSITION:
General Manager/ Deputy Manager, Mission Operations in
Mumbai, reporting to the Vice President, Space Segment & Engineering.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person will be responsible for managing the establishment
of the ASSL Satellite Control Facility and overseeing the Service
Contract for Satellite operations. He/she will interface with
Mission Team of the Satellite Contractor / Launch Service Contractor/TT
& C and Satellite Operations Service Contractor and manage
the planning and execution of the mission, including the Launch,
Orbit raising and in-orbit operations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND
SKILLS REQUIRED: Minimum B.E / M.Sc. (In a relevant field)
from a premier institute with a good academic record. The person
should have thorough knowledge of satellite mission planing, analysis
and operations, TT and C stations, Satellite Control Center. The
person must have strong co-ordination, interpersonal and communication
skills allowing him/her to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary
environment.
EXPERIENCE:
8+ years relevant experience in Satellite industry, of which at
least 2 years in a Senior Management position/Programme Implementation.
POSITION: General
Manger/Senior Manager, Contracts, in Mumbai, reporting to
the Chief Executive (CEO).
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person will be responsible for Contracts Administration functions,
in coordination with Space Segment & Engineering, Finance
and Legal groups. He/she should have a thorough knowledge of project
planning, scheduling, monitoring and use of MS Project, Pert /
CPM chart. Functions will include answering/floating enquires
for sub-ordering and making comparative statements with respect
to the budgetary provision and follow up with sub-vendors/sub
contractors, ensure timely dispatches, prepare billing schedules,
dispatch schedules and coordinating inspections and approvals.
The person will also be responsible for processing invoices, cash
flow monitoring, variance monitoring, progress reporting to clients
and management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND
SKILLS REQUIRED: B.E. (In a relevant engineering discipline).
An MBA is desirable. Format background in contract law/contract
administration is desirable. The person must have strong interpersonal,
communication and negotiating skills.
EXPERIENCE:
8+ years experience in the relevant field with a proven track
record.
POSITION: Deputy
General Manager / Senior Manager, Spectrum Management in Mumbai,
reporting to the Vice President, Space Segment & Engineering.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person will work for securing and advancing the company's
interests in the incensing and interference free use of geo-stationary
satellite orbit locations for the purpose of Satellite communications.
The person will prepare the technical basis for frequency coordination
with other satellite organisations and participate in such coordinating
efforts. The person will also develop the technical basis of information
for making submissions to ITU.
QUALIFICATIONS AND
SKILLS REQUIRED: Minimum B.E.(Electronics/Telecommunications)
with a good academic record. The person should have a telecommunications
background preferably expertise in RF engineering. Prior experience
in ITU coordination work is highly desirable. The person should
be able to communicate and relate to all levels within the organisation
and outside.
EXPERIENCE: A
minimum 5 years of experience in Radio Frequency Systems design
or Regulations, with exposure to satellite, radio, microwave or
telecommunication industries.
