Keeping
pace with the growth plans of ANZIT, we are in the process
of building our IT Service Delivery function in Bangalore
and require the following personnel -
TECHNICAL
CONSULTANT - UNIX
You will be a part of the team that builds, maintains
and supports the Unix computer environment for a number
of ANZ's key business areas, including Financial Markets,
International Banking, Group Marketing, and Cards. Unix
Systems Support (USS) is responsible for the technical
support of over 130 Unix computer systems world wide,
thus being a Global Support Team providing 24 by 7 support.
Skills
required:
Technical experience, preferably in HP-UX (10.2 or 11.0),
Solaris (7.0 or 8.0) or AIX (4.2.1 or 4.3.3) with strong
knowledge of:
- System
recovery procedures
- Software
distribution and patching
- Support
tools (offline and online)
- Disk/file
system management
- System
security
- Ability
to learn/install/document new software packages
- TCP/IP
Protocols and their use
- A
good understanding of the principles of change and
problem management processes.
Responsibilities
include:
Implementation and support of large-scale Unix systems,
product and operating system Upgrades, product and operating
system maintenance and patching, configuration and performance
tuning, problem analysis and resolution, maintaining a
functional backup and recovery environment, understanding
and responding to business needs, assist in evaluating
or designing and writing utility software.
DATABASE
ADMINISTRATOR - ORACLE / SQL Server
This position reports to the Manager, Database Services,
and is responsible for the support of ORACLE databases
on Sun Solaris, Hp-UX and Windows NT operation systems,
together with Microsoft SQL Server on Windows NT / 2000.
Skills
required:
- A
solid understanding of the Sun Solaris, HP-UX and
Windows NT operating systems
- Proficiency
in creating and maintaining Unix shell scripts
- Extensive
experience with ORACLE database administration, preferably
with Oracle version 8, together with experience with
Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 or 2000
- Strong
PL/SQL programming skills.
Responsibilities
include:
Provision of 24 by 7 technical support / technical advice
on database design and application performance to Software
Solutions and E-commerce project teams, contribution to
and maintenance of ORACLE and SQL Server standards documentation
and compliance to such standards, monitoring of database
growth and performance, management of database disk space
usage including database reorganisations together with
other database housekeeping tasks, performance tuning
of database, maintenance of physical database integrity,
backup & recovery of databases.
