On September 11, we proved our worth in a whole new way. We kept the U.S.
Now command operational and helped the American Red Cross handle
unprecedented call volume. Our System enabled thousands of callers to
give more than $7.1 million in donations in the critical hours offer the
attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

In just three days, we assisted Telstra, Australia's largest telecommunications
company, with the transfer of 189,000 customers from another Australian
company that was shutting down its network. This transfer occurred
without interruption in service to the affected customers.

When Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce lost its retail branches at the World Financial Center, EDS set up a remote dial-in branch at our lab in Toronto.
So that the bank could resume trading when the New York Stock Exchange re-opened.

When terrorist attacks significantly disrupted the New York operations of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD®), EDS colleagues immediately converged
on NASD locations to install computer equipment required to support displaced
NASD employees. The efforts of these individuals are just one example
of the critical response services provided by Eds colleagues supporting
NASD in the hours and days following the disaster.
