While
corporates used to have their offices in downtown Mumbai there
is a shift away to less congested places like Parel, Reay Road
and the suburbs. Some computer firms have decided to shift to
far off suburbs and further afield to places like Navi Mumbai
( new Bombay on the mainland across the creek).

There
are any number of hotels to stay in Mumbai for a short trip, to
suit all tastes and budgets. Hotel tariffs in Mumbai are higher
than in other metros in India. A night in a low end budget hotel
would cost around Rs.150, while the typical cost of a 5 Star room
would be in the region of Rs. 8000 or so. There are several comfortable
hotels coming up in the city, where average costs would range
between Rs.800-1000.
