GETTING THERE

Air: Air travelers arrive at Begumpet international airport which is bang in the middle of the city today. It is very close to the business districts--about 15 minutes at the most. A new airport is being planned 40 km to the south of the city. From Begumpet one can hire taxis , or as the savvy do, autorickshaws.

Rail: There are three large stations. Secunderabad (the main station), Nampally (serving Hyderabad) and Kachiguda (serving the south east part). Begumpet railway station is also becoming important. Being centrally located all large cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore can be reached by a comfortable and refreshing night's travel. The main booking office is at Secunderabad.

Arriving by Road: The Main government bus terminals are at Gowliguda in the south of the city, and Jubilee Bus Station at Secunderabad in the north. Private buses pick up passengers from Lakdi ka pul ( means wooden bridge) and Paradise corner Secunderabad. Buses to Mumbai and Bangalore leave at intervals of an hour.
