GOING AROUND

Cars, two wheelers and buses are the main mode used by people. Autorickshaws are found all over and they are convenient for short trips, though not very comfortable. Traffic is NOT smooth in spite of the best efforts of the police. The frequent closure of main roads for the passage of politicians and other VIPs adds to the chaos.

Old Delhi is rather crowded. The pollution caused partly by traffic jams and automobiles adds to the problems on Delhi roads. The suburban circular railway doesn't really make a difference.
