Delhi
EDUCATION
Schools:
Primary education is good in Delhi. However, like much else, education
is very expensive in ordinary schools and the sought after schools
rip off parents. The syllabi is generally CBSE and ICSE. In some
of the suburbs, the Uttar Pradesh State Board of Secondary Education
syllabus is also taught.
A
few reputed schools: The Army Public School, Apeejay School,
DPS, Springdale and Modern are among the popular schools in Delhi.
Higher
education: The Jawaharlal
Nehru University, University of Delhi and the Indira Gandhi National
Open University are all of repute. Delhi has prestigious colleges
such as St. Stephen's and Lady Shriram Colleges for graduate and
post graduate education. Delhi also has a large number of R&D
centers.
Engineering
and Medicine: Delhi boasts of two of the most prestigious
institutes of higher learning in the country, The Indian Institute
of Technology, Delhi and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
