Air:
Anna International
airport and Kamarajar domestic airport are located at Meenambakkam,
20 km from Chennai. Taxis and buses are available. Taxi fare to
the city is Rs 250.00, autorickshaw Rs 100 to 150, bus Rs 4 to
Rs 6. Besides, there is a railway station just opposite the airport
where you can catch a fast electric train to the city. The fare
to Chennai stations ranges between Rs 4 to Rs 6.
Rail:
Madras Central Station in the north of the city is the main terminus
for long distance trains. Egmore is an important station for suburban
trains. Local transport bus, taxi, autorickshaw and suburban trains
are available for passengers alighting from long distance trains.
Bus:
The main inter state bus terminal is near Parry's Corner -High
Court. Other large terminals are at Egmore and T Nagar.
