Road
:
Bangalore is well connected by road to all the major cities. But
a consequence of sudden growth of the city is inadequate public
transport infrastructure. This is a sore point in Bangalore. The
city was not designed for the sudden expansion and as a consequence,
traffic jams are usual.
Buses
are overcrowded. In the opinion of experienced residents either
a car or two wheeler is a must for daily commuting: autorickshaws
are the next best alternative. They are supposed to ply by meter,
the minimum meter charge is 7 rupees for the first two kilometers
and then 3.60 each additional km.
