You
should be a B.E. / M.E. / Ph.D. in Electronics / Communications
/ Instrumentation / Computer Science / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering,
with 2 to 10 years' experience with any combination of the skills
listed below:
- Strong
development expertise in real-time embedded software / firmware
using Assembly, C, C+, Java and ADA.
- Good
understanding of 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit microprocessors, microcontrollers
and DSP architectures. Knowledge in the theory of Digital Signal
Processing is an added advantage.
- Knowledge
of real-time UML tools, modeling and simulation tools like Matlab/Simulink,
Statemate etc.
- Experience
in using development tools like debuggers, emulators and logic
analyzers.
- Product
design experience involving VLSI, FPGA, ASIC, System-On-Chip,
System-On-Module etc.
- A strong
foundation of real time operating systems, such as VxWorks,
QNX, OSEK, RT/Linux and pSOS.
- Software
development experience in Small / Embedded OS' like Embedded
Linux, Embedded Windows NT, Windows CE, Palm OS etc.
- Development
experience in systems software, including firmware, device drivers,
protocols stacks etc.
- Software
development experience in PLCs, Vector drives, Servo drives
and Multi-axes controller environments.
- Avionics
software development/ testing experience
- Knowledge
of DO178B, DOD and MIL standards.
- Experience
in Testing safety and mission critical software - V&V, Code
Coverage, etc.
- Familiarity
with communication protocols such as J1850, CAN, KW2000, SPI,
I2C, Class-2 and Bluetooth communication technology.
- Exposure
to technologies such as COM, DCOM.
- Exposure
to software life cycle models and practice of ISO / SEI-CMM
standards.
- Exposure
to Configuration Management tools like PVCS, Continuus, VSS,
and Clearcase.
