Intel India Development Center (IIDC) is a key international
design/development site for Intel. It has over 950 engineers working
in core areas of software, services and hardware. The Enterprise
software Technology (EST) group in IIDC, Bangalore focuses on
developing some of the key next generation technology and software
for Intel Enterprise class servers and Platforms. Some of the
core areas we work on are;
Server management Software: Best-in-class management software,
including applications, instrumentation, configuration, pre-boot
utilities, and diagnostics
Chipset and Platform Software: Pre-silicon support software,
OS Kernel enhancements and driver development
BIOS: BIOS, Firmware and Utilities development for Intel
Servers
EST is looking for Software Managers, Technical leaders, software
developers and Test Engineers in the following technical areas.
Server Management Software (EST-SMSW):
you will be responsible for architecting, designing and developing
server management software for Intel high end server platforms
based on Windows and Linux.
Skills & Experience:
• Extensive C,C++ and
Java programming and OOA&D skills in multi-tier architectural
environment
• Experience in development
of platform management applications, installation utilities and
graphical user interfaces
• Experience in Web
based application development using HTTP and XML desirable
• Hands on experience
with standards such as IPMI, CIM, DMI and SNMP an asset
Platform Software BIOS & Firmware
(EST-PSW): You will design and develop the next generation
BIOS and Board Management Controller(BMC) Firmware for high-end
Intel server platforms.
Skills & Experience:
• Proven expertise
in low level software development including BIOS and Firmware
• Embedded software
development and debugging skills
• Hands on experience
on low level drivers development and good knowledge of Linux OS
• Extensive C and Assembly
language (real & protected mode) programming skills
• Sound knowledge of
X86 and PC architecture
Chipset and Platform Software (EST-CPS):
You will design, develop and validate the drivers supporting latest
Intel server Chipsets and Platform on the Linux and Microsoft
Windows Operating Systems.
Skills & Experience
• Hands on experience
on device driver development and in depth knowledge of Linux &
Windows OS internals
• Knowledge of bus
protocols such as PCI, AGP, Hublink & memory
• Strong C programming
skills
• Hands on experience
on software and hardware debugging tools
Validation Tools Development (EST-Eval0):
You will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing
Validation Tools, and performing the validation for Firmware,
and BIOS.
Skills & Experience:
• Extensive C,C++ and
Tcl programming skills in multi-tier architectural environment
• Design and Implementation
experience spanning high level GUI development, high level database
systems programming, algorithmic development, low level driver
development and interaction with hardware (e.g. i2c, rs 232/rs485,
BIOS calls)
Software Services (Build and Tools engineering)
(EST-Eval1): You will conduct training, set up user
access and privileges, administer licensing and support enterprise
tool usage. You will coordinate with other Software Engineers
in the team to create software builds, write scripts to integrate
Software elements as required. And help create the distribution
CD's and coordinate/execute the packaging and distribution.
Skills & Experience:
• Knowledge of Microsoft
DOS, windows and Linux operating system installation, configuration
and usage is required. Knowledge of batch file and Perl programming
is mandatory
• Skills in eRoom,
PVCS Tracker and VM is desirable. Administrative knowledge of
TCP/IP and WAN networking an added advantage
Testing and Validation (EST-Eval2):
You will conduct testing and validation of BIOS, Firmware and
Server management software.
Skills & Experience:
• Experience in embedded
systems software test development, automated test ware and validation
• Extensive Programming
skills (x86 Assembly, C,Tcl.)
• Sound working knowledge
of software evaluation techniques and software quality methodology
• Experience in installation
and setup of Windows NT, NetWare, UnixWare and Linux servers
• Experience with automated
testing tools (VT and WinRunner, Rational robot) desirable
• Good knowledge of
LAN hardware, software and modems.
• Understanding of
Server Management software and standards (DMI, CIM, SMS,SNMP,IPMI)
and hardware highly desired.
REQUIREMENTS

• B.Tech or M.Tech
in CS/ECE/EE
