(MSS) team at IIDC develops software for
the market-leading ATM and Frame Relay switches that
power the Internet backbone. Now, the next-generation
Lucent Service Intelligent Network Architecture is all
set to strom the emerging intelligent networks market.

To expand the MSS team in Bangalore, we are looking for high-caliber,
result-oriented software professionals at various levels who
can focus on quality and customer satisfaction, working independently
and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and ability to resolve customer
issues within stringent deadlines are the other desired attributes.
Education
BE / M.Sc. / MCA / ME / Ph.D. in Computer Science / Electronics
& Communications / Electrical
Experience
4 to 12 years
Areas of work
ATM, Frame Relay, PNNI, BGP, OSPF, SNMP, MPLS, Call processing,
Signalling & Routing, T1/E1, DS3, E3, OCn and HSSI.
DEVELOPMENT
The Job involves
Software development in the areas of Embedded Device Drivers,
System Software and ATM / Frame Relay / IP applications
Developing good knowledge of the current software implementation
of Lucent products and their deployment in customer networks
Understanding new customer requirements, design and development
of features

Architecture Concepts: OOAD, Distributed and Multi-threaded
computing
Programming: C/C++
Real-time / Embedded Systems: pSOS, Linux-RT, VxWorks
Target Platforms: i960 and Pentium architectures
Tools: RISCWatch, Pentium Code Tap, HP OpenView, Clearcase
SQA
The job involves
- Testing switch software including protocol, standards,
- onformance, scalability and performance
- Testing using Network Management Systems
- Network scenario testing
- Test Automation
- Understanding new customer requirements, developing test
plans to test new features
- Designing networks, analyzing traffic patterns, planning
network growth
