PRODUCTION SUPPORT SPECIALISTS
Should have worked
in Production Support environment earlier with 5+ years of impressive
support and analysis experience. Experience in Precise Root Cause analysis
of job failure and Dump Analysis in the production support environment
on Mainframes is a must. Ability to provide good and accurate
documentation for the permanent solutions is preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Batch job repair,
restore, and fault correction.
- Documenting problems,
discovery, and fix solution steps.
- Provisioning
of appropriate recommendation(s) for a permanent solution.
- Monitoring the
batch schedulers' error queue for supported platforms.
Core
tech skills required:
- Expert knowledge
of COBOL II and DB2 programming languages, program dump reading,
and analytical skills.
- Expert knowledge
of JCL and procedures, coding and interpretation.
Preferable:
Unix
/ NT - scripting / commands / executables a plus
SCHEDULING
EXPERTS
Should
have worked in Production Support environment earlier, with 5+ years of
impressive support and analysis experience.
Primary
responsibilities include:
- Review, implement
and apply permanent and emergency changes to support the various
batch cycles within the MVS mainframe scheduling jobs in Production
Support environment.
- Being able to
process changes to the production schedule involving multiple
applications, entities and their interdependencies and not impact
established
service levels.
- Ability to determine,
communicate and take actions necessary to implement
corrective measures to avoid outages.
Core
technical Skill requirements:
- Expert knowledge
of CA-7 / OPC / ESA, JES3 operating systems, Netscape, IE, REMEDY,
ENDEVOR, TSO / ISPF, JCL, MS Office, Windows NT.
AS/400
Minimum 2 years experience in LANSA, COOL2E (SYNON). Experience on products
MIDAS, ACBS is preferred.
NATURAL
ADABAS
Minimum two years experience
in Natural / Adabas for development or maintenance projects. Experience
on MQ series will be an added advantage.
