Launches International Gateway; Provides International Access
to Millions of Job Seekers Through Strategic Global Partnerships
December 19, 2000 --(ATLANTA) Atlanta-based online recruiting
site Headhunter.net, (NASDAQ: HHNT) announced today the launch
of an International Gateway that provides job seekers with access
to career opportunities overseas while allowing companies to tap
a new pool of talent. Through alliances with targeted international
partners, Headhunter.net will launch the Gateway with communities
serving Canada, Quebec, India, the Association of Southeast Asian
Nations (ASEAN), and the UK.
A
global economy combined with online recruiting has opened the
door for both U.S. and International job seekers to more easily
find jobs in other parts of the world. According to Workforce
Magazine, many U.S. based firms caught in the talent crunch are
extending their searches outside America to find workers. Likewise,
Fortune Magazine notes that many U.S. job seekers are finding
that an assignment abroad has become a ticket to domestic advancement.
Headhunter.net's International Gateway provides the necessary
tools for job seekers to find jobs and companies to post jobs
within the international marketplace.
"Today's
global marketplace has created a demand for quality candidates
both here and abroad," said Bob Montgomery, President and
CEO for Headhunter.net. "Through strategic relationships
with select partners, we have been able to create an International
Gateway which provides significant job content from leading employers
in the global marketplace."

The
International Gateway will feature separate communities serving
each country and will leverage the local knowledge of our international
partners. Users will be able to access the entire Headhunter.net
job database as well as other tools to help them manage their
job search process. These services include the ability to post
and upgrade their resume, save their job searches, and create
job search "informants" that notify them about jobs
that match their skills. In addition, companies will be able to
post jobs and access Headhunter.net's full menu of corporate services.
"Furthering
our expansion into the global marketplace supports Headhunter.net's
commitment to maintaining a leadership role in the online recruitment
industry," continued Montgomery. "
