India
has a very large estimated resource pool of 'IT' talent - 200,000
software professionals working in wide spectrum of skill sets
and have impressive educational backgrounds (Engineering, Post
graduate in Computer Science, MBA, Chartered Accountancy etc).
The professionals do have good communication skills in English.
Indian software professionals have already established a strong
foothold in US both in terms of expertise and in numbers. Every
year around 20,000 Indian software professionals join US companies;
this is expected to increase by a mind-boggling margin in the
next few years. This will become a reality since US Government
has acknowledge the presence and has increased the H-1B visa quota
to 115,000. This fact in itself clearly demonstrates that US Companies
prefer TO HIRE THEIR software talent from India.
NOTE: The latest buzz
through the grapevines clearly states the fact that now, US is
not the only country in need of the 'Indian Advantage'. Germany
has recently shown interest in recruiting IT professionals from
India. Japan is also another emerging market for Indian IT professionals.
